What is the difference between a double bridle and a bridle?
A double bridle uses two bits (the weymouth bit and the bradoon bit) and two pairs of reins, whereas a bridle generally has only one bit and a single pair of reins.
The double bridle is reserved for experienced riders and well-trained horses, as it offers greater control and precision but also requires more finesse in handling the aids.
